Aileen I. Jaraza
Partner Consultant

Aileen is a graduate of BS Hotel & Restaurant Administration from the University of the Philippines and has a Diploma in Hotel Management from La Scuola Internazionale di Scienze Turistiche in Rome, Italy.

She started working in the hotel industry in the Front Office Reservations section of the Manila Hilton International and later as Sales Account Manager of the Century Park Sheraton Manila.  She did pioneering work as Sales & Marketing Director of the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM).  She joined the academe as instructor at the University of the Philippines and later on at the Center for Culinary Arts Manila (CCA).

Aileen has been in the hotel & restaurant consulting business for the past 20 years, having done recipe development for McDonald's and Nestle Philippines and is an expert in systems & operations manual development.  She has helped set-up or improved operating systems for several restaurants, hotels, banquet facilities, food carts and other food companies.

She holds certificates for ServSafe Food Protection, Professional Baking and Professional Cooking from the National Restaurant Association, USA.

Aileen has co-authored 5 cookbooks, The Filipino Kitchen Library series and was the co-publisher of Asia's In Good Taste, The Premiere Cookbook magazine.

Cris C. Abiva

Cris started working at the Maya Test Kitchen after graduating from the University of the Philippines with a BS Nutrition degree.  It was during this stint that she authored and edited the first Maya Cookbook Series.  She went on to work as Test Kitchen Specialist of McCormick Philippines.

She worked as an instructor at the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA) and taught subjects in Product Identification and Food Sanitation & Safety.

She served as Food Editor for Good Housekeeping Philippines for more than 5 years and spearheaded the magazine's successful "Easy Everyday Recipes" before becoming president of IGT Media Management and editor-in-chief of Asia's In Good Taste, The Premiere Cookbook Magazine.  She also worked as consulting food editor of Summit Media's Yummy magazine.

Cris is author to several cookbooks and trade books and editor to more than 20 cookbooks.  An accredited TESDA assessor, she prepares requirements for TESDA accreditation of culinary school programs.

She holds certificates for ServSafe Food Protection, Professional Baking and Professional Cooking from the National Restaurant Association (NRA), USA.
